Matchbox Garden & Seed Co. is a small farm company that has served the GTA since 2006. Started as an urban backyard garden, Matchbox has grown into a 4 acre market garden producing over 100 varieties of open pollinated, heirloom and rare vegetables, seed and seedlings.

We have produce our seedlings at the Downsview Greenhouses, in Downsview Park, and have had the opportunity to farm on Mcvean Farm in Brampton as well as The Living City Campus on Kortright in Vaughan, Ontario. As we look towards the future, Matchbox will continue to supply gardeners with select seed and seedlng, as well as help educate new and seasoned gardeners alike in the quest for healthy, whole gardens.

2013 will continue to be a year of family focus and much of the vegetable production for market will be put on hold while we take the time to be with our new family.

Matchbox has always taken pride in employing organic practices to grow spectacular seedlings, seeds and produce for our CSA, farmer's markets, grocers and restaurant customers. Thoughtful stewardship of the land and the plants, insects and animals it nourishes, is the best way to ensure good growing, year after year.
