Over the years Matchbox has had the privilege of working with many different groups. Every year, I work hard to produce more seed in an effort to improve access to open pollinated, organically grown vegetable seed in Canada. In the past, Matchbox has participated in the Bauta Family Initiative For Canadian Seed Security, put together by USC Canada, Seeds Of Diversity, University of Manitoba and Everdale. We really enjoyed participating in this intiative and supporting their good work.

I am also proud to have been a part of The Greenbelt Foundation's World Crop Project. This project saw world food crops produced at 22 community gardens across the GTHA. As a participating partner, Matchbox produced a variety of hot crops to be planted in these gardens. Crops included eggplant, hot pepper, bitter melon, napa cabbage, and pak choy, tomatillo and okra.

Matchbox is also a proud supporter of The Bowery Project. Bowery Project is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to create opportunities for urban agriculture through the temporary use of vacant lots. Bowery Project designs, builds and manages mobile urban farms in downtown Toronto. They grow food for local chefs/restaurants and charities while engaging the community through fun, creative and educational programming.
