Waltham Butternut

ntroduced in 1970 by Bob Young of Waltham, Mass. One of the best butternuts, I have ever tasted, this variety produces large fruit weighing in at 3 - 6 lbs. Fruit is produced on long vines, so, best to give this variety lots of space in the garden. The small seed cavity is a treat, allowing you to enjoy more of the sweet, rich flesh of this winter squash.
